At Peepal Foundation, we believe that education must do more than just prepare children for exams—it must prepare them for life. That belief led to the creation of CEDE (Child Education, Development & Empowerment), an 80-hour, in-school program designed to nurture confident, compassionate, and socially responsible citizens.
Integrated seamlessly with the school curriculum and supported by school staff, CEDE is implemented by our trained Change Managers who engage with children from Monday to Friday. They don’t just teach, they mentor, inspire, and open new doors of possibility.
CEDE is rooted in a three-pronged approach working closely with children, teachers, and parents to create an ecosystem of holistic learning. The program covers:
Introducing UTTHAAN
UTTHAAN is a Hindi word that signifies upliftment—not merely through
learning or
support, but through
rising with self-respect, dignity, confidence, and inner
strength.
UTTHAAN – Workshop Series is a holistic, multi-stakeholder
capacity-building
initiative designed for:
What sets CEDE apart is its
experiential learning
model
using activities, role plays, storytelling, mind maps, and
interactive media to bring lessons to life. It’s not about rote learning, it’s
about understanding, expression, and application.
Our Change Managers and volunteers are the heart of this intervention.
They introduce children to fun-learning techniques, encourage critical
thinking, and help each child discover their unique voice and
potential.
Recognizing that children thrive best when adults around them grow too, we
conduct teacher training sessions to build empathetic, engaging
classrooms and parent empowerment workshops to equip caregivers with the
tools to support their child’s learning journey at home.
With every session, we empower children with the tools they need to face the
real world—not just as students, but as
future-ready citizens who think,
care, and lead
.
